Filter drain leaking
Filter drain leaking
I started my truck yesterday morning, temperature dropped to 9 degrees, to find I forgot to put fuel additive in the tank. Engine wouldn't pull or go over 1700RPM. New filter and fuel additive fixed both.
My fuel filter valve and the drain are/were both leaking fuel, I temporarily put a hose with a bolt in one end on the drain and disassembled the valve handle to stop the leak.
Are they repairable or do I have to buy the bleed valve assembly?

I just got through fixing one about a week ago. we took the filter housing off and removed the drain, you need to replace three o rings. two are on the housing to drain and one on the lever arm. my sae o rings did not fit, they are metric. I did not look at the size but you need to get a kit anyway. took about 5 minutes to fix and 10 minutes to air test to 25 psi
Thanks for the help all, I contacted Geno's and got the parts quickly.
Now I have to replace the brake pads on all 4 wheels
