Difference in vp44 pumps?????????

Hello all I have a newbey Question. Is there a difference between the standard remanufactured vp44 and the hot rod vp44?I pulled my pump last night and it was alot easier than i was expecting,it was out in an hour and five minutes so i can imagine it will take about six hours to replace.

About 60-80hp would be the differance. I would get one if I was you. I didnt find out one was available till after I bought a new one...

It took me about 6 hrs I think start to finish tools put away and everything. Not to bad of a job really.

The stock rebuild is rebuilt to stock specs, the Hot pump is built for better performance, I was told some added timing and SO delivery valves and HO pressure. My truck runs with just the pump as good as the Comp on level 3-4!
Easy 70-80 hp gain. The truck idles and runs exactly the same till you drop the hammer.

Fuel mileage!!! If your stock truck only runs 40 up a hill and you install a performance box and now can run 80 up the same hill, you will get less fuel mileage!!! But if you still go up that same hill 40 with the box on you will get the same or maybe a little better, because the box has a timing increase.

Ya he said that he had a lp that he advised i used that he sells. We also talked about other lp options and fuel line options that would probably help.Funny,it turns out that these arent much different than any other high performance deal to mess with. How many other people are running an aeromotive a1000 pump?I have one that i am thinking about installing instead of useing the standard lp desighn.also thinking about getting rid of the banjo fittings and replace with AN fittings.
