Whats the difference in pumps?
I was looking at a 5.9 cummins powered onan generator today and its injection pump looked very similar to ours except for a few things:
A: It did not have the fuel metering circuit at the front of the pump that then goes to the ksb, just some sort of other thing threaded in.
B: It did not have the ksb setup...
As far as all of that, It looked identical, AFC and all.....Is it possible to retrofit those parts from our pumps to those pumps in a pinch? Just curious.

Yep. The KSB is an emission control device that reduces white smoke on cold start, not all VE applications use it. Old VW applications used a driver controlled cable operated cold advance.
I don't see why not, but I really don't see why you'd go to the trouble. My industrial pump doesn't have a KSB and, despite the lack of a good head
, the truck starts quite good in the cold---prolly the same as with the KSB. I haven't forgot about the pics, Mike, just been swamped with other stuff
