P pumps and VE pumps... wow!

I know this is a little off topic for here, but I'm amazed. I bought a P pump (yeah I know, going away from the little VE someday) and wow, IT IS HUGE!!! I can't beleive dodge put one of these monster P7100 pumps on a tiny little ram. It shouldn't be legal but it's toooo much fun .

I'm proud of my tiny VE pump putting out the power it does.

Ya big difference there. Just curious what you paid for the thing and what HP pump is it?

Paid $530 for it. Supposedly it's from a 98 with 1500 mi on rebuild, but the numbers are different. Gotta get more info on it, but at the very least it should work as a core (I hope). Or maybe it was a different pump that was rebuilt for a cummins in a ram? It'll be a good amount of time til I can get it on an engine, so I have plenty of time to figure this out.

Yep, they are monsters. Now you just need a timing case, injection lines, injectors, and a lift pump.

So you did the conversion on a 1st gen? Give details
Does it rattle like crazy at idle with no mechanical advance in the pump?

Aw, well, something that cool and the Lords of the Rotary Table might be willing to make an exception...

Think the sympathetic pair of lines are "y" into a single injector, or did they figure out how to put two injectors in the head???
