Wow! Fuel Prices! Wow!

When is it going to end? Crude oil is over $88 a barrel. The pump price at some stations is now $3.59 today for diesel. I guess I'm not going to take any long trips this winter.

yikes, that is bad "only" like 2.89 here, and yet gas is down to about 2.49 Definitely feeling the no long trips anytime soon, thinking about a cheap-0 commuter car and bump the CTD to pleasure vehicle

Diesel prices.

Diesel is $3.29 here average. Costco reg. is $2.99. The oil producing countries have discussed tying the price of crude to the euro instead of the dollar. If that happens, watch out!

Everything costs more and it's not all due to the price of petro.
The value of the dollar keeps on dropping. Massive borrowing to fund the Iraq war has made the US into a country whose credit isn't trusted anymore.
It could get a lot worse if the lenders ever decide to call in their loans.

No matter how much we gripe about it they still have us where they want us because we have to get to and from places.

I know that national do not buy fuel day doesnt work because noone will stay together long enough to make a diff.

not to mention the rise of min. wage, from 5.15 - 5.85, you know it has to put some of a pinch on gas stations

This is a different subject, but.....................Almost all retail fuel stations are C-Stores (Convenience Stores). They are not making much money on the sale of the gasoline and diesel fuel. Their profits come from selling beer, cigarettes, and candy bars. The fuel is there just to get you to stop.
