The difference between 94-95 and 96-98 injection pumps
I was wondering what the difference was between these pumps because I have a 94 5 speed and was wondering why the #10 fuel plate has significantly lower horsepower and torque ratings than the same #10 for the 96-98 manuals.
There are 3 basic internal size versions of the P7100 pump. For the different power ratings Bosch uses different design plungers, barrels and camshafts. If you have the wallet to support it, a 215 pump from a late model 12 valve 5 speed is a bolt on to your engine.
How much power are you targeting?
A 94-95 pump won't perform as the later years, but with a few simple changes it will get you enough power to burn the clutch and help the fifth gear nut to fail.

Throw a gsk in along with that#10 and the hp change to better numbers than what you see on those old skool charts.
The little pumps can make impressive #'s. I took the 160hp pump in my '95 and with a #5 plate, lazercut dv's, DDP#4 inj, 3k gsk, HX40, 16* timing took that wee little pump to 440hp.
