I put on a campaign pump and the press. was lower than the carter pump. I think I only got @15,000 miles out of it too but that could just be the luck of the draw cause I've heard people praising the campaign pumps.

so the campaign is no better. I just dont get it. Is it that hard for dodge cummins to make something reliable other than the cummins block? Anyway, I guess the carter is just as good?

The pumps are the same! the campaign is just cheaper with a fuel pressure light! Carters way of trying to make it right. Cummins doesn't make Carter pumps! Cummins doesn't make Bosch VP44 either!

I have installed a bunch of the campaign pumps and have not had any problems with them.

"Limited Lifetime Warranty". I took my "lifetime warranty" Carter back to Oriellys and yes, the first one is lifetime. Everyone after that is 1 year so be sure that the new ones fail at least once a year.

anyone take the plate of a campaign pump,

Pulled mine off, can't figure out how it works, or which way it turns,

the vanes don't seem to extend, ? centrifugal force ?
Also the vane shaft (holds the vanes ) was rubbing against bottom plate,
meta to metal wear. not really impressed,

Yes, I agree, crap parts on a great engine.

? what type of lift pump on other equipment with a cummins and a vp44 ???
