Engine Gaskets and Seals?

I'm about to reassemble my engine, I have a complete set of Cummins gaskets upper and lower. I just wanted to see what the group out there had to say about using additional sealer with some of the gaskets like the oil pan or between the block and timing housing etc. Engine will be on a stand to gluing just to hold in place is not needed.

Any advise for replacing the rear seal in the aluminum housing it looks like if I'm not careful I could be replacing a housing

I don't think you'll need additional sealer if your parts are straight. Rear engine seal should have come with an install tool, mine was rather easy to mount. Don't forget they need to be mounted dry, no oil on the seal or shaft.
