seals/gaskets

I'm going to get the fuel heater o-ring done on my truck soon. There was a post recently with some part numbers but I can't find it. Even went back 12 pages. Anyone have them?

Can the rear transmission seal be changed without tearing the transmission apart? I know on a 4x4 half-ton you can change it in the truck, but don't know about these.

Plan is to drop the trans and do the rear main, too.

Thanks, the 1036 is an oil filter, use the gasket and toss it, right?

The counter guy at NAPA looked at me funny when I told him I don't know what it fits, but I need it. He said GM. I told him the O-ring will fit the fuel heater on a Cummins, too. Said he never heard that.

You're not the only one who has put that number out here. I was going to do the heater today. While we were breaking ice I noticed I had some slush freeze to my insulated jeans. Screw that, it's cold out there.

do you really think it's necessary to have a fuel heater? it doesn't get real cold in southeastern pa.maybe 10 a couple times a year.i have one truck with a heater and one without.doesn't seem to make a difference.they both start and run in cold weather.i don't think any industrial or ag engines use them.seems like just automotive.i have a new heater on the shelf from geno's and never put it on the truck without the heater.what do you think?
