Got a P0500 & P1693 .
Drove down to WV yesterday from South Jersey every thing seamed fine. Left WV this morning and 1/2 mile down the road a cupple of hiccups from the truck went about 25 miles and when geting on the highway it hicuped again. I stoped and filled the tank thinking it might be easier on the lift pump, no more hicupes all the way home , truck seams to be running all right but got them codes when I got home.
So what do you think

 

Not familiar with that one, but here's what I found:

P0500-NO VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL

 

The 1693 just means your PCM detected a DTC.

By "hiccupped", do you mean a little miss to the engine, or something much greater? I'd change fuel filter first, then make sure you lift pump is providing required pressure. Couple times I've had that "little miss" and new filter was the answer.

 

Thanks I'll try a new filter and see if I can rig a presure gauge
