Clutch Master mounting questions
Clutch Master mounting questions
Ok I decided to start on the five speed swap, atleast do the things that are not going to affect driveability for now. I installed the pedals and was working on getting the clutch master cylinder installed. I pulled the grommet out of the firewall and I dont see anything that the master twists into. Ive done a few clutches on newer cummins' and I remember a diamond shaped hole cut out for the master to twist into...not really seeing one here. Anybody done this before? Also this a 99 and is still an automatic.

Ok so I figured this out, the 99's have a bolt in master cylinder... I got a new one today and bolted it in along with the reservor. In the box, there was a plastic piece and a little round piece of foam. They fit on the rod side of the master but I dont see what their purpose is.... Anybody know what I am talking about???
Thanks

Ok i got the master mounted and connected to the pedal, also got the reservor secured tot the firewall and ran the line with the slave down under. While I was zip tieing the slave to the auto, I noticed a two wire harness or plug on the tailshaft. Is this the speedometer?? I thought mine was on the rear diff...
