Question Master cylinder mounting

how does it mount? Is there a clip that holds it in place?

I assume you mean the clutch master? No clip, you just rotate it 1/4 turn. The hole is cross shaped.

oh, so I wonder how to go about doing that in my truck, its just a round cutout on mine, where the factory grommet was. I guess I can cut some thin plate I have to work and tack/screw it up there.

Double check the grommet location. I dont think there is much of a lip or notch for the threaded portion of the MC.

Mine is completely round. Is the receptacle set into the cab a little? My MC has a grommet and the quarter turn latch, and I dont see how to mount the MC and use the grommet. Can anyone give me the measurement for setting the master cylinder?
