Best repair for a roof hole?
Best repair for a roof hole?
The CB antenna has to come off the roof, still debating on weather to keep the CB (and move the antenna) or remove it all together. I have one idea for a repair, a part we call a Hoffman knock out seal in the electrical trade, but wanted to see what others may have done. Currently the antenna is right above the dome light.
opps put it in the wrong place, mods please move, thanks

When we strip out emergency vehicles, we use rubber "hole plugs" to plug the holes. They work great and don't leak. They can be painted, and for added protection you can add silicone. Any quality hardware store should have them in several sizes.
When ever I have a hole or ding or whatever,
I install some useless item to make it look intentional.
Like a picture over a hole in the wall...
SO , Maybe another antenna, Roof ornament , BIG spotlight , AIR HORNS
Or how about a sun roof,,,,,
I guess plug is better solution....

Too bad it's in the middle of the roof. I'd say just install a set of cab lights and call it good. This is the only reason I'm not getting cab lights. Installed a set on my old truck and it was fine, but I don't know if I wanna drill holes in my current truck.

Why not leave the antenna mounted? the new owner might want one, or you can install a cell phone antenna and mount. Other choice would be to cover it up with an XM or Sirius antenna.
Of course, the plug is a cheaper option.
