Which Auto Tranny Do I Have??

Ok, I got under my truck, appears the tranny has been out sometime before for service or swapped out for some reason. It has yellow ink writing on the bottom "307" probably a customer id or a salvage yard id. Hopefully a customer id! How can I know what tranny is in the truck now, is there a marking system on the tranny itself? I want to do the tranny service tomorrow and would like to know before I crack the pan and I have the wrong filter/gasket kit! Thanks for any help on this one guys.

Not sure as I'm not a tranny expert; although I believe they came with a 47re.<br>Scooter

It's gotta be a 47RE, else your check engine light would on! (It isn't, is it? )

IF it is a factory tranny that has been out and rebuilt, then it is a 47RE, but if it was swapped for an aftermarket - who knows? ???
