Anyway to tell if IP has been replaced?
On rebuilt pumps you'll usually find a red or orange substance on the heads of the screws holding it together. When the coating is cracked or missing it usually indicates it's been tampered with. There is usually a sticker from the remanufactor attached also.

If you have a hookup at a Dodge dealer, any Dodge dealership will work, they can run a check throughout all of the dealerships in the country to see what work has been done on that truck by the dealer. They run a search with the vin number through the database. It's not a 100% foolproof, because not all IP's are replaced at the dealer, but I think most probably are and if so, it would tell for sure. The general public doesn't know too much about this search and Dodge likes to keep it hush hush. But if you have a friend, they can run it for you and tell you. Chances are they won't let you have or even see the printout, but they should tell you either way. HTH
