Another lift pump!

Well, another lift pump just bit the dust no warning (18,953 miles), just saw the pressure drop and then all of a sudden 5 mphs was all I could do to limp back to the house. Is there anyway I can convince dodge not to put the new pump in the tank? It is still under warranty.
This the 2nd one since I bought the truck @17 months ago!

I also wonder about towing it to the dealer? who pays? the other times it happened and I was able to drive to the dealer @35 miles away.

Dodge replaced my lift pump in the tank, 6 months ago.
No problem as of yet, they told me the heat from the engine is why they are failing and that is why they have gone to the tank.

Why do you not want the intank pump?
Are they failing also?

I remember reading posts on here about how the in tank pump had some issues. I will do some searching to see what I can find.

Your dealer is an idiot and I would not let him work on my lawn mower. Never has there been any evidence that heat is taking the LP's out. Pretty stupid when you consider the amount of cool fuel flowing through them. The next time anyone at that dealership gives you "information" disreguard it and get info here.

free is good..... until it craps out with no warrenty! I'm not sure what is going on with it. Disconnected the batteries and let it set for over 40 minutes. Reconnected started up fine and drives fine but check engine light still on and still same codes P-1693, P-0121 & P-0122. I just assumed since it acted like before, when I filled it up last night the fuel cap had a lot pressure. Still no pressure on the gauge?
