Transmission fluids have friction enhancers I wouldnt want it in my fuel . Maybe stanidyne performance its got it all and has for years. Just my opinion. Cookie

Thats the stuff I was trying to ellude to.. Who would want clutch disk friction enhancer in their fuel pumps?? The vanes will wear out, and some of the metal to metal parts in the plungers etc.

A very good and valuable point. I asked Cummins the same question and they cautioned me against using ATF....

About every 4th fillup, i add 1/2 a quart of marvels mystery oil to my tank, and ad 1/4 quart of cetane enhancer.

Heard of it, but cant get it - one thing, correct me if Im wrong - this oil is red isnt it?? The reason I ask is Ive read posts on this and some guys have commented that DOT may not be able to tell the difference between your fuel and DYED OFFROAD diesel.....apparantely the fines are pretty stiff....its something to think about.

I use redline RL-3. Stanadyne has excellent rep, but pricey. Both are noxious as hell...don't store them in the cab.
