Tansmission fluid capacity?

What is the fluid capacity of a standard 2002 47re. I have a double deep pan that adds another 4 quarts, thought the factory was 6.7 but not sure. Any help please. Twogun

I've always been told that factory capacity is 6.5qts, so 6.7 sounds close enough to me.

I'd put in 9qts then check it and slowly bring it up to proper level.

Remember - no way to drain your Torque Converter so your talking about leaving 45%+/- in there.

When I change mine (with a Deep Dish Pan) I drain whats in the pan only and it usually takes 9-10 qts!

Tech Service Manual lists 47RE at 4 qts for "Service Fill" and 15 qts for "Over haul".
Make sense to anyone ????
