Cool 99 24v cutting out between half and full throttle???

ive got a 1999 cummins 24v with a 6 spd tranny. its has straight pipe exhaust, a k@n filter and the silencer ring removed from turbo, and i have a quadzilla adrenaline on it. my problem only occurs when i have my quadzilla turned up. when on stock position it runs fine. when i give the truck throttle is when it is cutting out. usually anytime i get around 2000 rpm it starts cutting out. ive changed my fuel filter and i can hear my lift pump working however i have no fuel pressure gauge. (yet) its kinda like a cut out with a pop at the same time, when it does this. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks...

do you have the oem lift pump still? or a aftermarket better one... if its oem they dont support much when you throw electronics at it, but that could be your pump is wearing down you can check your fuel pressure on the schrader valve off the vp or fuel filter housing... also you cannot do the key cycle to pull any codes... good idea if you know anyone that has a smarty for 2nd gens or a code reader... you may have a surface lying code due to your vp going south.... no fuel leaks? start with the codes see if you can pull any...and get your pressure read.

i believe it is a stock lift pump. and i checked the wire connection with a test light and it lights up, so it should be connected. I have done the auto zone test and the only thing it showes up is about my boost, which is probably because the waste gate is plugged off. can i just remove one of the brass plugs on the fuel filter top and put a pressure gauge there?? oh and my engine is sopossed to be a newer engine with about 65,000 on it. ive read about the dreaded 53 block. the only numbers i can find is on a little square on the side of the rocker cover/valve cover, the thing on top. lol. is it says cummins recon in the little square. thats it.

Do you have a stealth cover on the vp?When i did, i checked mine with a light and it worked but still cut out.I adjusted the set screw and it fixed it.
The 53 will be stamped just above the oil pan driver side.Under the vp.

talk to Larry Ellis, on the DTR Store. would think this pump would support plenty for what you have on your truck this is simular the FASS 150 I have raptor was not around when I bought my fass years ago.
