01 24 valve throttle problems
01 24 valve throttle problems
I don't have much experience with the 24 valves, a friend just bought this truck and every once in a while it will just fall to idle, you can press the accelerator to the floor, let off and it will go again. Might not do it again that day or might do it again in the next block. Throttle position sensor? Any way to repair or clean it?
search for "dead pedal" more info than you can read.
to start you off you will need to verify your fuel pressure and pull codes.
an apps will set a code if faulty, from dodge it can range from 400-800$ if you end up needing one do a serch for "Timbo" he has a replacement version for 160$ that is far superior to the OEM.
a 0216 code is a failing VP which means it cannot achieve desired timing, or its basically wore out, and typically this is because the lift pump is not working or has extremely low fuel pressure
here is an apps/TPS thread (all you need to know)
