I'm collecting all my parts for my P-pump swap but in the mean time i have a 99' 24valve that is missing and cutting out at idle and all the way through the RPM and throttle range. I've even had the truck die on me while idling a couple of times. I am getting no codes whatsoever and the truck will run perfectly fine most of the time. It throws most of its missing hissy fits all at once and it drives and runs fine most of the other time. I'd like to keep my truck running until my swap as i use it for work. Is there some small common things i can check or is it just my VP giving me a sweet kiss goodbye?

I had this problem with an engine i rebuilt in school. I had an injector that was bad witch was causing it to miss so i replaced that and is was doing the same thing just not as bad. and i couldn't figure out why.it ended up being i got blow by back in the fuel system from that bad injector and i had air in the fuel lines

 

Yeah this is more like someone shutting the key off and kicking it back on. Its pretty violent when i'm under load and i'm sure my transmission doesn't like being slapped around like that. It seems to have gotten worse today for some reason.
