truck doesn't seem to have full power at full throttle?
just had the ats triple lock and shift kit installed. i figured i would be able to feel more power. it feels a little quicker since the tranny isnt slipping real bad, but it seems like toward the upper rpm range it loses power. is this normal? i know these engines make gobs of power down low, but it almost seems like i'm not getting much fuel at higher rpms. i change the fuel filter every 10k miles and the current one only has about 8k miles on it. anyone have any idea's?

Well my first guess at it.........
You installed the ATS stuff, now your power is getting to the ground and your engine is not able to rev as high as quickly(converter locking).
With your prior setup you it would probably rev high quickly and do the shifting at the end of the rpm range.
What I would suggest is that you add a little more power to your setup, like a Comp box and some mild injectors (like 275's).

I don't see a Fuel Pressure guage in your sig.
Maybe your lift pump is not pumping enough fuel at those RPM's?

I find with my DTT trans if I turn the box right off with the truck has a hard time pulling some of the gears as easily as it would stock. That is with an 89% and the race setup with all the typical goodies. If I turn the box on I pull gears like gang busters. Maybe yours is setup for more hp then you are making?

Make sure you really are getting WOT. Remove the inspection cover on the TPS, and be sure the TPS is going full WOT. Floor Mats, or worn throttle cables will prevent WOT.
The TPS cover is that black plastic housing on the drivers side of your motor, right below your oil Dipstick, and Oil Fill on the valve cover.

fuel pressure gauge is probably next upgrade. i reset the throttle position since mine has no cable. i'm going to change the fuel filter tomorrow and see if that helps. it does seem to pull a little harder if i ease into the throttle rather than stomp it, but maybe it's time for injectors too! i guess i'll see what happens tomorrow after changing the filter.

Your truck does have a cable that runs from the pedal to the APPS.
The Duramax, and if I understand correctly, the Ford either, does not have a cable hooked to the "go" pedal. APPS is attached to the pedal.

never actually looked for one, but talked to local dodge dealer service manager. when i asked him about the power loss issue, he said the truck uses electronics rather than a cable for throttle position and told me how to reset it. i'll ck for myself in the morning. it never occured to me to actually look at the thing and instead figured the service manager would know. i should know better by now.

Don't forget that the local stations have switched to winter blend here. That can change the performance of your truck.

Yeah and a loss of 1 1/2 to 2 mpg pulling.
