47re to NV4500 swap

Hi folks. I recently converted my 2000 over to Manual using the nv4500 and everything came out excelent with one exception, the ECM or PCM still thinks the truck has an automatic and is throwing every code in the book. If I clear the codes, they come back after a while. Is there a way I can clear thease codes with a few jumpers or remove a few wires or do I have to change the PCM and wiring harness?? Any help is always apreciated. Thanks.

You will need to jump the connectors and make the PCM think it is in neutral. I saw how to do this somewhere, but I can't remember which forum it is on.
Good job on the swap if you have gotten this far. The hard part is definatly over.

laurel, does your truck only rev to 2000rpms when first cranked up, then after you get over 20mph, it will rev till redline? mine does that. dodge and a few other mechanics told me that if i switched out the pcm it would fix that. i havent had any codes thrown yet though.

I am considering doing the swap as well. However in regards to your ecm/pcm question if a new one is needed try www.autocomputerexchange.com. They have fairly reasonable prices on ecms and pcms(at least compared to dealer prices).

Southern Pride. Im not to sure what it revs up to? But it shift fine and works normally. I probably need to change out the ECM. I think I will give Bob Wagner a buzz. Thanks.
