3 Question on my 2001
3 Question on my 2001
I checked the Vin on my truck and it looks like I still have the original lift pump, and it has 179K miles on it. I called 2 different Dodge dealers for the relocation kit and they both quoted me $450 roughly forthe Kit alone.
1. Do I want the Mopar $450 relocation kit?
2. If not, what do I want? I want the best solution.
3.. What does bd kit mean? is it really 250$, and if so where do you get it?
Also the MOPAR factory relocation kit is on back order they both said.
Thanks for any help you have.

According to all reports from unhappy recipients, you don't want the intank kit, unless it is free. And even then some guys don't want it.
$450 will buy a FASS II, or a pusher pump kit, and food and beer for your buddies to eat and drink while they watch you work.
ON EDIT:
Here is the BD kit, BD is a company that makes diesel preformance products.

Uh,I got a secondary lift pump, from napa, installed it in front of the tank about 200 for that, then another 200 got me the Cummins lift pump, cause that was bad too (3psi)
and now its time for a vp44 i think
I've heared that the extra lift pump keeps the main alive..and the vp 44 too..
I'll see what happens,I use mine for a living and it gets alot of miles
