Hi guys, Sorry about my ignorance, but I see alot of sigs with 2001 or 2001.5. What,if any , is the diff? Thinking about buying a 2001 as a second truck, the 06 is my first Dodge, formerly I was a Ford guy (Please dont throw stones ) Thanks

 

01.5 have rear disc brakes.

 

like mine does.

Ok well I have disk brakes in the rear suggests 2001.5 I also have cup holders , black antenna and I think grab handles suggests 2001.... Guess I have to go check the build date.....

 

On here the 01.5 ususlly is just a reference to rear discs, because there is a lot of inconstiency with the other changes.

The 2001.5 has the HO motor which has 245 hp instead of 235hp wow! There are a few upgrades on the internal workings also. I am pretty sure you dont have to worry about the dreaded 53 block.

 

Not all 01.5 have the HO, only the 6 speeds. And yeah, I have never heard of a 53 block in a truck that new.

 

Yeah, that list is inconsistent. My 01.5 has the black antenna and rear cupholders.
Also the HO/SO wasn't based on the 01.5 or '01 model year trucks. It was based off the 6spd - vs - auto. A buddy has an 01.5 with rear discs, but it's an auto with the SO motor and HY-35 turbo.
