You might want to ask around on the "TC first" idea. I've seen some amazing results with just an upgraded Valve Body....good up to 375 hp!
There is a reason why most reputable CTD tranny rebuilders will not even sell you JUST a Torque Converter. If interested...

I agree, if you are going to change out the TC then you need to do a VB and other things to the tranny. Dave Goerend can help you understand what it takes to get the power to the ground. Give him a call. Its a cheap lesson on performace tranny upgrades, his advice is free!

Thanks for the articles and the advice! I'll definitely give Dave a call, DTR is by far may fav board...Look for me to be posting quite a bit, once work slows down a little, and I can focus on my truck!
