Known problems with 95 3500?
Hey, I am trying to buy a 95 3500 on ebay with 110000 miles on it. Do these trucks have any known problems? I have a 91 with 217K on it, but also want something that rides a little nicer. The bid closes Saturday, so please let me know something. I appreciate any advice since I know little about the 2nd gen trucks.
Thanks,
Chris
Thanks,

The main problem is the KDP (killer dowel pin) do a search here for more info.
The problem can be easily prevented but if the pin has already come loose and caused an oil leak behind the fan pulley the fix can be pricey.

I have heard about the KDP. Is this most common in 2nd gens? I know it can happen in all of them. How long does it take to prevent it from happening? I need to do it to my 91.

Other problems/recalls are the throttle cable and the headlite switch and wiring which the dealership will repair free if they have not already been done
As mentioned the KDP should be done ASAP....and the front brake pads and rotors should be inspected for wear....and both batterys should be load tested
