2001 24v. Will Not Start!!!
I have a 2001 that will not start here is what happened:
- Started just fine in the morning, then started just fine, ran for ten seconds then just quit.
We took out the lift pump and tested it at the battery and it ran just fine. when we first turn on the key the LP will run for a second then stop. Swapped out the relay and still no change. Hooked a meter up the the LP connector and got 8.7 Volts.
How long should the lift pump run when not connected at both ends?
Any help would be great
THANKS!!!!

Have you pulled the codes.... on the o1 it is easy to get them up in the odometer.... on off on off on within about 5 seconds I believe.
I don't want to say the v
44 word, but I don't think this is sounding good.
Now I have some codes
Ok so I tried to cycle the pump and it still would not start I did however get some the the codes and this is what it read:
P PCU
P1693
P ECU
P 0230
P Done
I don't know what these mean nor what they stand for.
any help would be great
Thanks again!!

1693 just means that you have a code present. Here is a link to the rest of the codes

P1693 Generic fault indicating a fault in the bus or PCM/ECM interface
Check your connections???
P0230 Transfer pump circuit out of range
Again...connections?
You sure about the other codes?
