2001 24v. Will Not Start!!!

I have a 2001 that will not start here is what happened:

- Started just fine in the morning, then started just fine, ran for ten seconds then just quit.

We took out the lift pump and tested it at the battery and it ran just fine. when we first turn on the key the LP will run for a second then stop. Swapped out the relay and still no change. Hooked a meter up the the LP connector and got 8.7 Volts.

How long should the lift pump run when not connected at both ends?

Any help would be great

THANKS!!!!

I believe that is pretty normal.... you need to bump the starter to get the lift pump to run longer.... or in your case you can crank it for a sec or two.

Have you pulled the codes.... on the o1 it is easy to get them up in the odometer.... on off on off on within about 5 seconds I believe.
I don't want to say the v44 word, but I don't think this is sounding good.

1693 just means that you have a code present. Here is a link to the rest of the codes

You need to check the pressure that the lift pump is putting out. Just hearing it run is not enough.

P1693 Generic fault indicating a fault in the bus or PCM/ECM interface

Check your connections???

P0230 Transfer pump circuit out of range
Again...connections?

You sure about the other codes?

Absolutely.

The LP's motor will spin and make normal sounds, but won't pump a darn thing if the internal bypass check ball failed.
