2001 will not start
2001 will not start
A friend of mine has a 2001 virgin truck. It does have a fuel pr. gage on it..It will not fire up at all...When we turn the key over the gage reads about 10 psi , we cracked the line loose after the fuel filter, turn the key on, fuel pours out. So I know we are getting fuel at least to the VP....She will not fire up at all..This is an automatic truck I do not know if this makes a difference or not. I do not have a lot of knowledge on the 24 valves/ auto. Since mine is a 97' 5sp..... Any suggestions at all...Oh also the night before he went and put 1/2 tank of fuel in it.. And it has been running just fine....He just parked it in the drive and went out the next morning and nothing. If any thing this truck has been babied to much...Is there a sensor or fuel shut off on these trucks that would limit her from firing up? Any suggestions would be greatly app.
Crack a few injector lines at the head and see if fuel comes out when cranking. If not check fuel relay in PDC as well as the pump fuse and harness connectors. Also check for codes doing the key trick. Let us know if it has any.
