2 Filters both did the same thing.

I replaced my fuel filter twice today. My truck was reading 6-3psi, replaced the filter and goes to 12 and is real hard to pull the needle down. I drove the truck for one hour went back to work.3 hours later I start it up and I have 3psi. So I changed the filter again with another stratapore fleetgaurd and boom its back up to 12 psi and you can only bring it down to 9 psi. I went out tonight for beer and it is back down to 6psi. What is happening in that time? It works great then nothing. I have a brand new Black Carter and if you bump the starter provided you have a new filter it will read 15 psi. I dont have a clue what this could be. I was going to buy the FASS thursday but I had no time to drive to Muncie. Any thoughts? Maybe a clogged fuel sock in the tank?

You might try bumping the starter and see what the pump is capable of doing without the engine running. This will give you a clue.

what does the filter show? I had my fuel sender float "dissolve" and plug up everything with little black particles, it is no fun to get to!

I was wondering if the LP was pumping strong... Which it seems to do good...

I've seem my LP start to die and the bump PSI was as low as the idle PSI and you could hear the bearing grining in the pump...

fuel

What is in the fuel filter? If dirty, don't get fuel at there again.I had the same filter on for almost 2 years and found about a dozen grains of sand and two pinhead size pieces of yellow paint. Buy clean fuel and it is cheaper in the long run!!!!! I only buy fuel from one of the major fuel companies.
