02 loosing power over the years

Every year I have to have an emissions test done on a dyno, don't know what kind but it's the only place in town and there equipment hasn't changed. I have 4 years of records for power output at 20mph 40mph and 60mph with HP and some funny torque numbers, you can divide the number by the tire size and gear ratio and come up with a real torque number but don't remember the conversion.

4 years ago my truck made 190 hp at 20 mph. Every year since then I've lost power now down to 172hp. The torque they say to read at the 60 mph reading, before my torque was 2400 and now it's 1700 at the same speed. My first thought was tired VP but I just had that replaced 2 months ago.

I'm at a loss, nothing has changed, same tire size for 4 years. Where is my power going?

ideas?

Had the valves adjusted about a year ago, worst power reading ever, new VP gave me some power but not much.

So injectors, getting plugged. How do you clean them out.

I use power service 90% of the time, same thing?

I just searched 11 pages on cleaning injectors and some say you can get a buildup on the tips and soak the injector in cleaning solution and using a plastic or brass brush (no metal) clean the soot and build up off. Others have mentioned a power flush for injectors. I know my dealer wanted to charge me $250 for an injector cleaning about a year ago and I declined. What about pop testing. If I have a bad injector, plugged or dripping would that cause excessive smoke from a stop? I didn't have any noticeable smoke until recently but I also put in a lower stall converter, fuel mileage is about the same maybe just a little lower.

Sorry for all the Q's

I would guess it could be your new triple disk converter

I'm lost on that one. A new tighter converter, yes higher stall rate but I'm talking about mainly my tq numbers at 60 mph in 4th locked.

Injectors are a wear item, they don't last forever.

Tow very much? Might have some carbon buildup and pulling 4k for about 300 mi. will help clear it up!!

Just got done towing 7k for 2500 miles. Month prior was 1800 unloaded on a trip to get the trans rebuilt.

Keep the ideas coming.

Very true. I should have remembered that. ulsd doesn't suposedly have the same btu output as the old lsd diesel.

I'll vouch for that. My mileage went in the toilet once they switched to ULSD.

Does anyone know the math to calculate my torque? It was something like their number 2400 before and now 1700 divided by tire size and gear ratio.

So tires are 265 75r 16 and I have 3:55 gears.

When I did the math the first time with the 2400 torque numbers I was right at the stock 460 or very close and 190 hp so what is 1700 torque converted?
