Wiring Help - Transmission Cooling Fan
Hey Guys,
I have the factory installed transmission fan cooler on my truck, and want to wire the fan to a toggle switch in the cab. I am a wiring rookie, and while I have read threads by several folks online, I need a clearer picture of how to do this. I would like to install a lighted toggle switch that illuminates when the fan is on, or at least getting power. What is the cleanest way to do this?
Thanks!

I'm no wring expert myself, but a simple lighted On/Off rocker switch should be pretty easy to do.
You should probably run the power to the cooler motor through a relay. You should run a constant duty solenoid, or relay, that can handle 30 amps or more. I wired up an electric fan system on my truck....found all the wiring schematics I needed with some google image searching. Just search for "Heavy Duty cooling fan wiring" or something along those lines.
