Mine looked the same as that too but came with a pigtail. Take a ohm meter with you and test it before you pay for it 😉

I have no idea, this was 4yrs ago

The Chevy part number is 15594176 but it will require a pigtail or bullet connectors

The thread pitch on that part will not fit.

Here is a comparison between the original switch off of my 93 W250 and Napa P/N FWD25, and you can see a slight different in the thread pitch, so as diesel402004 stated, this will not screw in properly into the xfer case. So while you can possibly source a Chevy pigtail, this part still will not work.
So.... that being said, anyone able to provide a different P/N or source to get a switch that will physically fit? Also if there is a place to source a new connector / pigtail, that would also be helpful, as the Napa part no longer comes with a pigtail (at least with the P/N used here)

Switch in front is original, switch in back is Napa p/n FWD25

Different switch connectors needed. Stock is on the right, the Napa (aka Chevy style) switch is on the left.

Parts are out there still, but pricey

I was able to find the old part number for the switch with the newer style connector with course thread to work with my earlier version NP205 Xfer case.
Mopar P/N is 4210977
GM P/N is 15594176

Searching online, neither is available anywhere. So went to the local Chrysler and GM dealerships, to see what their local and national parts lookup would find.
.... Nutin found. Both GM and Mopar show these P/N's as obsolete, and none sitting in 'old stock' nationally.

.... So went to the local Napa, to see what they could lookup... doing a cross reference of the GM and Mopar P/N... and here too, nothing available for the coarse thread switch.

Napa was however able to provide a P/N for the pigtail with the newer style connector,
which is Napa P/N EC152 and costs $24. (picture of this shown below)

Searching further online, I did find where 'Torque King 4x4' has a switch with the newer style connector and coarse thread. Their P/N is QU30048 (picture of this shown below), and sells for $98 plus S&H (a bit costly for what should be a $15 - $20 part in my opinion). The also give the impression their supply of this part is very limited.

QU30048 NP205 T/C SWITCH in NP205 Specific Parts

They also have the pigtail which is a bit longer than the Napa part, and costs $20
QU90002 SWITCH PIGTAIL in NPG/NVG D5

So the parts to get the 4x4 indicator working are still out there as of Dec 2016, but will cost about $130, which for most is not worth it. I'll went ahead and spent the $$'s because 1) I hate when stuff don't work as it should, 2) I wanted to see what a working 4x4 indicator light actually looked like, and to be honest.. its really large and bright ... almost annoying if you are driving at night.. but hey, its working

Thanks for the info stackdaddy.....

I did a bunch of searching a couple years ago for a replacement switch.....searched thousands of switches and never did find one I thought would work. It's the thread pattern that really makes this switch unique, at least from what I could find. I even looked for metric equivalents from European vehicles.

But I agree the dash light is very bright, and a tad annoying at night. I was going to put a new LED in there, but decided to go with an old 194 bulb that had blackened a tad.....helped a bit.

The pigtail you found at Napa EC152, looks like in your picture a standard weatherpack connector? If it is just a standard weatherpack connector you can buy the parts to build the same thing for somewhere around $5.

Why not abandon the broken switch and install a microswitch
on the shift linkage to activate the lamp?

Seems like something I would do.
