Looking for some help. Went to engage 4WD and light does not come on? I jacked up the truck and check to see if the transfer case is engaging and it is, so I am assuming it must be either a bad light or transfer case indicator switch on the top of case. Is this a replacable bulb for the indicator? I'm hoping for the simple stupid thing first, before I spend $100 on a switch.

How did you determine the x-fer case engaged? Did you check to confirm CAD functioning as well?

I believe a CAD malfunction will cause a no-show on the 4x4 lamp.

 

That is correct....unless he has an 02.5 that has no CAD - then the switch will be at the t-case.

 

Correct, no CAD. On my truck the wires for the reverse light and the 4wd light got ripped out by the driveshaft one day going down the highway. As soon as I can afford it, manual locking hubs are going on the truck! I HATE the frontend being locked all the time!! Not a good idea at all IMHO!
