why so much negative wheel camber

Whats up with he camber on my 91.5 w250 4x4? we just did bearings and races to try to get the tire to stand up straight, the king pins seem fine no movement of the tire in or out. are the king pins adjustable?

King pins are not adjustable. There is a camber correction kit on the market. It is listed in the stickies.

A bent axle housing can give you lots of chamber also.

My bent front 61 wears both front tires the same amount.

The chamber correction kit is Moog K992

I hope this link works. It shows a pic of it.

Hea mister mod. Add this part to the stickies under the suspension section. I didn't find it listed in there.

i have found that even though the king pins feel tight when tring to move by hand, they can be worn and even broke, but you will wont beable to move it by hand, maby just take a real close look at your upper king pins, if you havent already done so.

No, I dont' think so, pop off the pitman arm and pull the nuts off the studs. the spring, retainer and bushing are right there. dana part#s are 37300 for the spring, 41886 for the bushing. I think the retainer came in the lower bearing kit. I could of reused my old one.The spring was 6.98 a side and the bushing was 3.12.

Would you guys ever recommend getting a kit like this (http://www.pirate4x4.com/tech/billav...pin/index.html) or should one just get the individual parts? It looks like there may be some redundant parts between the camber correction and the rebuild kit.

Does the camber correction effect the handling much? My tires have always worn more on the inside and have had similar thoughts... Recently I have also been getting the wandering feel in the wheel...

Thoughts...

The chamber correction kit is adjustable. Just throw the truck on a front end rack and have them set the chamber.

I have a kit on my truck.

Buy the kit. If your going to do the top side of the knuckle. Do the bottom to. You probably won't beleave how bad of shape that bottom bearing is after 15+ years of road use.
