Negative camber on a 2WD.
Negative camber on a 2WD.
A couple of years ago, I replaced the springs in my front end with 2" over stock. At that time, I replaced all of the ball joints with greasable Spicer joints. I have been experiencing rubbing from the tires in the wheel well liners and was forced to remove the driver's side while I looked for a solution. Recently, I've noticed the front driver's side wheel is showing visible negative camber. The passenger's side wheel is now starting to rub, too. What could be causing this? I have her scheduled for an alignment tomorrow morning, but what should I expect to hear from the alignment guy? Bad wheel bearings or what?
Just got back from the alignment shop. The front end is fine, it's the spring lift that is the problem. I am maxed out on the adjustment and still have 1/4 degree on the right and 3/4 of a degree on the left, negative camber. This truck will never be right, unless I put it back to stock. There are no aftermarket control arms or spindles to do this right, so she's going to have to go!
