Where is the fuel line after the fuel filter located
I've been under and around the engine attempting to find the fuel line after it goes through the diesel filter. But it seems to be under a part of the engine. Is that fuel line metal or plastic? How can I located that, and what does it look like? Does anyone have a picture of it?
Thanks
Thanks
If you look right there at the fuel filter, where it connects to the head, you'll see two metal pipes attach (See Air Bleed Bolt) ~

That line the Air-Bleed Bolt screws into is the fuel leaving the filter. It goes from there, between the block and injection pump, to the front of the injection pump, right there, between the front of the pump and the timing gear cover.
Here, you can see where I replaced mine with a larger flowing hose ~

To clarify just a bit, the fuel flows from the LP, to the head, where it is channeled down into the filter, then up , through the fuel heater( a flat plastic disc between the filter and head), and then through the head to the fuel line David is showing you....
The factory metal line is hidden behind and underneath a bunch of stuff, from it's origin at the filter-head, to it's termination at the forward end of the injection-pump.
It is two seperate pieces, joined by a pipe-union at about it's mid-point.
In order to remove that particular line, that union must be loosened to navigate the fuel-line out from all those components that it is hidden behind; it just won't come out in one piece.
