And don't say in the tank. I know that.

I mean in the front of the tank, or the rear.

My performance is way down, and drinking fuel like it's going out of style. Changed all filter's. No smoke. My pressure was reading a constant 5psi. But let me explain a little.

I've alway's had problem's with my gauge because of the isolator. Never been consistant. I even put a gauge in line before the isolator, but they crap out real quick. But it would show 21psi, when the incab showed 5-15psi(what ever it felt like). Then I got tired of the gauge and hooked it up with 1/4" brake line, and filled it full of -20* washer fluid. Back to a constant 21psi from the FASS.

Now for the last couple of month's the gauge has been reading 5psi. I'm thinking, crappy set up, or what ever going on with the gauge. It wouldn't hardly move off 5psi,,,even under WOT. And this is in the same time frame as poor performance and bad milage. Then tonight I went up Monteagle in Tn. It was a long, steady pull up a very steep mountain. When I got to the top. I had 10psi. After going up and down some hill's I can see it get better pressure going up a hill under WOT, instead of dropping pressure. That's making me think the pick up is clogged, and going up the hill is moving the crud to the back.

But this can only be true if the pick up is in the front. Do you guy's think I could be right,,,or I'v just been driving to long. I just put in some Diesel Kleen tank cleaner before I shut down for the night. I'll see what that does. I really don't want to drop the tank on a hunch. But if you guy's think I'm right,,,it might be time for the tank vent mod.

BTW. Where is the pick up located.

no expert here but from what i think...if the pick up tube was clogged then you shouldnt be getting bad mileage, i would think it would be really good mileage cause the fuel wouldnt be getting used. But from what i have been told, really bad mileage is from bad injectors! thats my .02 cents

the readings you are seeing is because the isolator diaphragm is maxed out.
mine is doing the same thing right now(and has done it before)
to fix it refill and try to get as much air out between the isolator and the gauge.

the pickup is located to the rear of the tank, if you were getting plugged up your FASS will get ALOT louder because it is cavitating
