Valet Soleniod Question
I'm hopefully going to be upgrading higher hp injectors soon and I know I'm going to have to have a valet switch. I was just wondering if there was a soleniod that you could actually regulate the the amount of boost going to the AFC from the cab . I just thought it would be kinda neat to be able to fine tune something like that. Would something like that be practical or feasable?

Not that I know of. One thing I've thought about is setting the AFC up pretty loose and then running the valet solenoid off a Hobbs switch set for 20 psi or so. That would hold the AFC fuel off until the turbo was spooled good.

I have seen guys run 2 valves parrelel? with a regulator on 1 of them.
Basically on stage 1 ( 1 valve open and regulated to somewhere around 10-20 psi ) you get boost to the afc but its limited.
on stage 2 ( 2nd valve opened ) you get full boost psi to the afc
Hard to type but easy to setup.
You could easily run the air lines into the cab with a regulator within reach and manually adjust the psi to the afc.
All pretty easy to do but how necessary ?? My normal style valet seems to work great.
The ones I saw were on p-pumped motors where the valet is much more dramatic. On 1 truck when dynod made something like 400hp/650ft normal and 78hp/208ft with the valet on and off.

Depends on how you test and how big of an injector. I can pass on the 93 with modified DDP4's with the AFC adjusted to the top, preload on smoke screw barely touching and the fuel pin spun around to the weak side. Takes all of 10 minutes to switch it back and forth.
With the valet on the 98, no problem at all.
