vacuum line ??

vacuum line ??
I need to attach vacuum lines between the manifold/check valve on the booster and the manifold/bulkhead fitting through the firewall into the HVAC box.
Assuming I can get that tiny line at the autoparts, do I have to try and shove it into those nipples on the bulkhead fitting? Or is there a female fitting that will fit over those nipples? All the ones I try to dismantle at the salvage yard seem to be one piece.
My truck was not originaly an LE model, but as I am putting it back together I'm trying to add the neccesaries for A/C. So I need to ad the valve inthe heater core line and also make sure it still gets inside for my air diverters.

Is this the part you are talking about?
This hose is pretty flimsy.
I would suggest you use 1/8" air brake line, I use nylon air brake line on anything that has to carry air or vacuum. you can get it from any Hose Man or Truck Parts it is commonly used to plumb the air shifters and some of the gauges on Class-8 tractors, you can also get 3/16" line.
It is the same size line that usually comes with an oil pressure or Boost Gauge.
Is this what you are looking for?
I have bought replacement vacuum fittings from Dorman, most Auto Parts usually have these displayed on a rack.

If you cannot find an adapter to connect the vacuum line to the booster's check valve, you can replace yours with one having additional ports, just make sure to cap what you don't use.
If you need a vacuum reservoir, I made mine out of a section of 4" ABS drain pipe and 2) end caps cemented on.. You can easily add ports by drilling the end caps and tapping the holes using a NPT tap.

That octopus lookn deal at the fire wall is what I'm refering to. I have the fitting on the booster,I just was trying to figure out how to hook a line to the firewall fitting. I think yournylon line will be much easier to push in there.
Once again, thank you Jim! For the ideas.

The one from the factory is just a "junction". Hose goes in one side, and another hose out on the other side. The lines just push into the fitting, not all the way through it. At least that's how it has been for me on 3 vehicles lol

Well as in Jim's pic, the gray one goes to the water valve for the heater and the other would be to source vacuum (the booster).
Below is the Vacuum Diagram for the Heat/AC system... hope it helps
