vacuum line?

vacuum line?

There is a short aluminum line between the timming cover and the pump. Is this a vacuum line?

That's a boost line. It allows boost into the top of the AFC housing to control the amount of fuel available based on boost.

Do you need vacuum for some accessory?

No It wase loose and I tightend it I also made an adjustment on the linkage and it sure made a difference . I don't know witch one helped .
