one of my friends up at school has got a 89 2wd with a 727. If ya push the throttle down and let off fast it will slow down and then about die. You have to blip the pedal to keep it running. The farther you push the pedal down and left off the closer it get to dieing. It only does it if it is in N or P. Does anyone one know what this is or had this before????

 

Mine did that to me once- I changed the fuel filter and all was good. Might be something to try, you should do it anyway.

Idle set too low maybe? Lift pump dead maybe?

 

Ill tell him to change the fuel filter. I dont thin kit is the idle because he had me come over to turn his pump up. I did some adjusting and then set the idle back down to were it should be. If the fuel filter dosnt help i will suggest a lift pump to him. Thanks any more info would just be great.

 

Have you guys been inside the pump? Sounds like maybe the throttle shaft is off a tooth.
