Truck died
I had a buddy call me last night with a problem. He told me his truck was driving along and it up and quit. He said there were no power issues, it just died. He assumed it was too low on fuel so he topped it up and no go. At this point he had already had it towed and they cracked the injector lines and there was an abundant source of fuel there but still no go. I told him to remove his hose at the intake horn and give it a shot. It did start and he reinstalled the hose and went home. Only problem was, it had been some time since he cracked the lines, to the time he tried the intake hose removal. Now he's questioning it's reliability and I'm wondering the issue myself. If anyone could chime in, it'd be appreciated.
Thanks,
Mike

My first thought is the fuel shutoff solenoid..check the wires connecting to it. they are known to loosen up and give people fits.
i took the blade connectors off and put ring conectors on and bolted them right on the solenoid because mine gave me problems too.

I'm with him. Flaky connections there cause all kinds of intermittent trouble.
