trans line from ip

trans line from ip

what is the line that runs down from the ip to the trans is that the kick down cable. any one have any trouble with theres sticking. my truck jumps into gear. some one told me it might be that cable hanging up. the cable doesnt return all the way. any one have to put a return spring on it where did you put it ?

There is supposed to be a spring from the TV cable to the throttle lever on the injection pump. Perhaps one of the slushbox crew would be kind enough to post a pic?

According to the Dodge Dealer Parts Book, . . . no, the non-intercooled CTD's don't have it. With IC, yes.

But it wouldn't hurt to add it. That spring is there to make sure the TV cable returns to the "zero throttle" position. The tension is not critical, a hardware store spring that looks right will do fine.
