so whats the normal egt drop after the timing bump,
im going to bump my timing since my pryo broke and im still waiting for it to be shipped here

Fuel burn in the cylinder longer...............
Something to think about before you do it.
removing and plugging you boost line to you IP would help egts a lot............but you would suffer a power loss also.

Thanks. I have the stuff to hook up a valet. I bought it back a while ago and didn't get around to it. So I'm going to hook it up now. So i don't want to bump the timing because it actually makes the cylinders hotter, but fools the pyrometer because the EGT's are lower correct?
If I'm not mistaken the timing bump gives it fuel sooner in the cycle thus keeping the fuel in the cyl longer. I have mine shoved to the head with the mods in my sig. now I need a larger turbo to help expell all the fuel I have.

If Santy Claws is not well-versed in diesel trucks, don't be surprised if you get a new razor, instead.
It depends on pump settings and fuel pin orientation. The fuel pin translates directly (for the sake of conversation) to control collar travel. By stopping the cone from traveling down its bore, control collar movement on the plunger is limited by the same amount.
