ticking noise.

ok os i got home form work and my truck to me seemed to be makin a ticking noise. my neighbor came over and told me it might be an injector? i dont know if that sounds right? i thought maybe an wxhaust manifold gasket but i havent been running it hard enough to blow one and i always let my ruck warm up and cool down.any opinions?

something in the valve area. possibly a loose valve.

Adjust the valves and see if that helps. My valves are properly adjusted and my engine still ticks. Good old cummins for ya

I just did my valves and mine still ticks, but not as much. I agree it is a Cummins thing
