Looking to put a cummins in a 1989 chev crewcab 3500 4x4 has a 454 in it I have a 1990 dodge with cummins with at want a 5 speed trans any help i can use

 

Diesel Power magazine (Jan 2012) features a Cummins conversion on a '91 Suburban. ("Doomsday Diesel"). They use a crossmember by: http://www.screaminseemanoffroad.com/home.shtml

For 5spd, you can use the Dodge's Getrag/NP205 combo (probably easiest) or adapt an NV4500 to your existing NP205.
