High all. I was just offered a chance to trade most of my mods from the truck in my sig to my friends '07 3500 quad cab dualy 6-speed. He was in a motorcycle accident, & need to get rid of it. I can change the exhaust with turbo, & put my stock turbo back on mine, swap out the exhaust sys. He'll throw in $1000 for a clutch to add some incentive. I'm SOOO tempted. I'll just need to sell my truck without the performance mods(sans trany), & buy his from him. Would it work out?

 

if you didn't already have the billet tranny, I'd tell you to make the swap. Unless you have high mileage on your 04.5, I wouldn't do it.

 

Is the 07 a 6.7 or a 5.9?

Personally I wouldnt swap...love my 04.5 and with all the work you've done to yours its going to cost you alot more to get the 07 to where you want it.

 

If you can keep your mods, then YES, I love my 6speed, I hated the auto when i test drove it

 

If you do let me know what you're going to do with your tranny.

 

If I do it, the trany in my truck goes with the truck. I can't afford to put a stocker back in, & then try to sell it later. I can trade out most of my mods from my truck to his, & he'll throw $1000 to me for a clutch to hold the power. But some of my stuff won't transfer, like my bumper, & the lift pump. I'll also have to leave the X-Moniter in my old truck when it sells too, & replace it with something else in the new one. I'll also have to transfer the LSD in my axle into his. And the camper tie downs, & air bags. It would be a lot of work. But I've been thinking about converting my truck into a dualy for a while now.
