standard trans swap?

I have the 91.5 in my sig. I came across a 95? I think ram 1500 v6 4x4 with a five speed. There is no circle around the 5 so I dont know if its overdrive. My question is; I have the 46rh now. Can I swap in the trans in question without major modifications? I have access to get all linkages, pedals, everything from the donor. Or am I barking up the wrong tree. Oh, and all of it for 200 bucks.

That tranny isnt heavy duty enough for that diesel! NV4500!!! They even make a nv4500 in gass version but its not heavu enough either. Find one out of a diesel. You will be glad you did.

That's an NV3500 stay far far away from that.

Only the 5.9 and maybe 5.2 trucks got the NV4500LD

maybe I need a peterbilt trans. nice 10 speed hi-lo ect............... I have an nv4500 in my mud truck and want to leave it there for obvious purposes. These are hard to find. All I wanna do is stop smoking transmissions. I pull 11,000 LBS with this truck like four times a year for a total of 3,000 miles maybe. That is its only use. I just had the 46rh auto built yet again. And all I did for h.p. was turn the fuel nut two turns literally. So its not much more than stock. the truck is intercooled, and it has the stock trans cooler. You can understand my dilemna.

would a NV45 out of a V10 work?
I agree with Brandon: someone is messing up on the tranny rebuild if it can't hold with the towing loads you mention. This is not heavy by any stretch. For towing anyway, you'll be a lot happier with a decent 5 speed or 6 speed or either one with over/underdrive...

yeah, those are really hard to come by up here. Most of the trucks that hit the junkyards are so badly rusted that they get crushed before long. The guy that built the lst one has gone out of business. I only asked im for the basic bench job. cost 300 bucks and I'm sure he didnt use top quality parts. This time I bought the valvebody upgrades and the tq conv myself, Then had him use hd parts. He adjusted the bands for firmer shifts and In my opinion after driving it, He did an awesome job. But I am looking for more of a long term solution.
