sputtering in 5th gear

92 d250, was sputtering and lugging out off and on in all gears, but after some turbo hose replacement and a new gasket, it still only does it once in a while. when it does it, it is when i shift into 5th , and get half throttle or better, lasts into 6th. it starts to spit and sputter, and have no more go power. once it starts to have this problem, it does it all day. but then it might not do it again for a few days, or a few hundred mile, or it might only be 30 miles later. cant find any fuel leaks, havn't found loose connections.

i changed the fuel filter 3 times in last 500 miles. lol. always my first thought. i am narrowing it down to the lift pump i believe. something is starting to squeel when i get on the gas hard, and the injector pump is supposed to have less than 25,000 miles on it.

Sounds like you missed a boost leak.
